Metrologic Group is a global leader in 3D measurement and inspection software, providing high value added software and CMM controls hardware solutions for the complex metrology industry (specifically 3D measurement and inspection with robots, CMMs, laser trackers, portable scanners and portable arms).

Goal Statement
The Application Engineer is responsible for preparing and conducting technical presentations using customer submitted parts and CAD models in order to demonstrate the potential of our products.

His/Her mission includes providing day-to-day telephone and e-mail support to customers experiencing difficulties in using our products as well as performing in-house or on-site operators software training.
Additionally, the Application Engineer works closely with our headquarters located in France and reports any internal or customer-driven request for product modifications/improvements. Additional tasks include the development/enhancement of technical brochures and user manuals for our software and hardware products, providing customers with part programming, as well as trade-show support.

Being outgoing, friendly, and professional in this position is important to the company, our team members, and our customers. Candidate must be willing to travel 40-60% including potential trips to France for training expertise in certain aspects of our products (annual).

Education, Experience and Skills required
No direct experience is required for this entry level / junior position.

Skills: Problem Solving, Team Player, Positive Attitude, Strong Communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Design, Manufacturing, CAD/CAM engineering or an Associate’s Degree with similar focus and some significant work experience (1-2 years).
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
